Haunted Tours and Ghost Walks
For those that like a bit of the macabre or to feel a shiver down their spine, My Old Kentucky Home has added two new tours this October. The “Weep No More” tour looks at the strangest mourning customs of the Victorian age. While the “Shadows of Federal Hill” tour tells the story of the former inhabitants of the house and their untimely deaths. And be warned you will meet a few ghosts on this haunted tour.
Visit multiple haunted locations and explore some of the oldest buildings on the Bardstown Ghost Trek. Look for Jesse James’ ghost at the first stop at the Old Talbott Tavern. The ghosts of dangerous criminals might not like to be disturbed when the tour group explores the old dungeon or hanging courtyard of the historic Jailer’s Inn. The haunted tour ends at the Pioneer Cemetery, the last resting place for many civil-war soldiers.
